Queer New York reviews Amas Musical Theatre's Signs of Life.

Filmmaker Abel Ferrara, best known for his work on the films "Bad Lieutenant" and "King of New York," has signed on to direct the Broadway revival of the play, Short Eyes.

Beginning March 5th, Untitled Theater Company #61 will present the world premiere of the drama Rudolf II, a story about the bi-sexual, bi-polar ruler of Prague, circa 1600, who brought the country into the modern world with his obsession with alchemy, science and education.

David Drake to direct Our Town at the Provincetown Theater. Auditions are March 6, 9 and 13.

GT-NYC Shorts - 2/25/10

The numbers are in. Broadway Backwards 5, the gender-bending fundraiser for the New York LGBT Center and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, raised a record $186,780. Here's what Lea Solanga, who performed an amazing version of "Out There" from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, had to say about the show.

All That He Was... , Larry Johnson's play about the AIDS crisis of the '80s and '90s, is playing at the NYU Tisch's Shop Theatre through Feb. 27.

Manchester's Vertigo Theatre Productions has cancelled its upcoming production of Something Sinister. They are replacing it with Out by Craig Hepworth and Adele Stanhope.

Torchwood: The Musical - Best. Idea. Ever. Sadly, the performances on the 7th and 8th have been cancelled due to casting issues, but still what a great concept.

GT-NYC Shorts - 2/24/10

Raven O has a new show, One Night with You, coming to the Bleecker Street Theater on February 23 and March 2.

Lots and lots of pictures floating around from Monday's terrific Broadway Backwards 5 benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and the New York LGBT Center.

Philadelphia's Plays & Players, will present Richard Greenberg's Tony Award Winning play Take Me Out, about a baseball star at the height of his career who comes out of the closet.

Reviews are out for Mr. & Mrs. Fitch, Douglas Carter Beane's latest work. His Little Dog Laughed and Xanadu were hits. Will this play starring John Lithgow and Jennifer Elhe make the grade? Take a look for yourself and see what the experts say.

As part of the 2010 V-Day Campaign, Long Island Gay and Lesbian Youth (LIGALY), The Center, and SAGE-LI will be presenting a benefit production of The Vagina Monologues. The V-Day Campaign is a worldwide campaign to end violence against women and girls. Proceeds from this event will go towards The Anti-Violence Project - Long Island (AVP-LI).
