Drunken! Careening! Writers! is a reading series based on the proposition that all readings should be by: 1) Good Writers; 2) Who read their work well; 3) Something in it makes people laugh (nervous laughter counts). And 15 minutes tops.

ISA COFFEY was turned down last summer (post hire) for a job teaching high school sexuality after the faculty scanned the web only to discover that she didn't use a pseudonym for writing smut. When not writing work inappropriate for high school students, Isa Coffey can be found teaching tenderly raucous sexuality workshops including how to whip up aphrodisiac liqueurs; puff on erotic smoke; and, once and for all, find that elusive clitoris. Her work has been seen in Best Lesbian Erotica 2008 and the award-winning Sometimes She Lets Me.

JOEL DERFNER is from Charleston, South Carolina, where his great-grandmother had an affair with George Gershwin. Musicals to which he's written the score have played in London, New York, and several cities in between (going counterclockwise). Joel is or has been an aerobics instructor, a knitter, a go-go boy, a math teacher, a cheerleader, and the author of Gay Haiku and Swish: My Quest to Become the Gayest Person Ever and What Happened Instead. He can be found at joelderfner.com.

JENIFER LEVIN is the Author of novels Water Dancer, Snow, Shimoni's Lover, and The Sea of Light; short story collection Love and Death, & Other Disasters. Short fiction and nonfiction widely anthologized. Have written for the New York Times, Rolling Stone, the Washington Post, Forward, and others. Taught fiction writing at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and at The Writer's Voice in NYC, back when it was a fun place. My new nonfiction and fiction old and new will be available this year through publisher UnTreed Reads...anywhere Ebooks are sold.

Bob Smith's Lambda Literary Award winning collection of essays Openly Bob was published to acclaim by Rob Weisbach Books/William Morrow. Way To Go, Smith! was also nominated for a Lammy. Bob's comic essays have appeared in the anthologies: America's Best Contemporary Humorists: Mirth of A Nation, 101 Damnations and When I Knew edited by Robert Trachtenberg. Bob's first novel, Selfish and Perverse, was published by Carroll & Graf in Sept 2007 and his second, Remembrance of Things I Forgot is available everywhere fine books are sold as of June, 2011.
